At ahead, we are committed to promoting inclusivity and diversity in all our work, recognizing their importance for ethical and impactful innovation. In the field of biomedical AI, we are aware that many ML/DL models are trained on biased data, often overlooking female-specific experiences and health markers, which leads to disparities in diagnosing and treating diseases in women.

To tackle this, our diverse team will establish clear standards to ensure that AI training and testing are fully representative. We follow the “Gendered Innovations” guidelines, led by Prof. Londa Schiebinger at Stanford University and endorsed by the European Commission, to ensure that gender is properly integrated into our research and innovation.
